ADVENTURING BY THE POTOMAC | GREAT FALLS PORTRAITS

We hiked out to a stretch of beach on the Potomac River and watched the last bits of light fade into the distance. We spied on a couple having a picnic, I dropped my phone in a puddle, we overheard conversations about piranhas and middle-school summer camp, and laughed and laughed (mostly at our own jokes). I grew up climbing over rocks and hiking through forests and to this day, it is my favorite type of adventuring.

Also, portraits in the dusky evening by-the-water light? My favorite.
